6 Secrets The Beauty Industry Doesn’t Want You to Know
PakTimes.Com brought to you skin care Tips (Beauty tips and secrets) which, helps you to look beautiful and gorgeous. As we grow older we face certain changes in the condition of our skin, such as age spots, wrinkles, and fine lines. Some of these changes are caused by the natural aging process (intrinsic aging) and we can’t do much about it.
1. Never forget about your neck
We pay a lot of attention to our face, but many of us pretty much ignore the area of skin just south of our head, and our necks often show the neglect. While the skin on our faces is glowing, cleansed and moisturized, the skin on our necks can often look dull and skin that is darker (read: not exfoliated).
The neck is one part of a woman’s body that gives away its owner’s age almost at once, so it’s very important to take good care of it.
2. Rub an ice cube into your skin
An ice cube can soothe pimples, sunburns, and skin inflammation. It reduces redness and swelling and numbs the pain. A face massage with ice cubes can brighten your complexion by boosting circulation. Ice cubes with milk or cucumber can even exfoliate your skin.
Ice cubes can also prevent wrinkles by tightening the skin. It’ll also create a smoother surface for makeup.
3. Take care of your hands
Our hands sometimes have it rough: Harsh soaps and hot water can zap moisture and produce chapped or cracked skin. And blood glucose checks can leave fingers a little worse for wear.
Hands require as much care as the neck because the skin there is thin and delicate. You can also apply anti-age creams to your hands as well as your face.
4. Don’t use scrubs and face sponges, especially if you’re prone to acne
Christie Kidd, a skin care specialist from Beverly Hills, recommends never using any abrasive skin care products (scrubs, sponges, brushes) if you have acne: this only leads to graver inflammation. Any skin type needs delicate cleansing without soap, and to reduce reddening and inflammation, apply a water-and-aspirin paste to the spots.
5. Cleanse your skin thoroughly
Cleansing is essential to removing every last trace of make-up, pollutant or toxic chemicals that prevent skin from regenerating.
But it you thought simply reaching for a face wipe or a splash of water would suffice then you’re wrong, because according to one dermatologist doing so could leave your skin looking tired, dull and even more prone to breakouts.
Dermatologist Debra Jaliman points out that you shouldn’t ever go to bed with makeup on. If you do that, you’ll end up with blocked pores and inflammations. Simple as it sounds, many still neglect this advice.
6. Don’t discount the benefits of sunscreen
Sunscreens act as a shield against the harmful UV rays which penetrates every time your skin is exposed to the sun. It is therefore advisable to use sunscreen everyday. You may not notice the benefits now, but the advantage of using sunscreen is felt in the long run. If you are out in the sun for a long time either working or enjoying a sunbath in the beach, it is better to reapply sunscreen after every two hours to protect your skin from sunburns.
There is no specific time to start using sunscreen. It is always better to be late than never. Enjoy the sun 365 days with a liberal dab of sunscreen.
