In Karachi Roti Bank Provides Free Meals to the Underprivileged
The Roti Bank is an initiative taken by one of Karachi’s welfare organisations. Not restricting itself to offering a one-dish menu, it provides the needy with food that include biryani, pulao, chicken karahi and even sweet dishes like zarda.
Serving the poor generously, this has also decided to issue cards to the needy for better facilitation.
Not all banks deal in financial transactions, so has been proved by a bank of Karachi called the Roti Bank. It provides two free meals a day to the underprivileged people of the society.
The small red shop, which appears to sell prepared food items, is situated on the road leading to Guru Mandir from Numaish and is an initiative of Roti Bank. It offers free food to those low income and needy people who cannot make ends meet.
Inside the red shop workers are busy packing food items which the bank gets from their kitchen or as donations while another worker hands out food to the hungry.
